The first Spring edition of Reserved was created around the theme of modern classics inspirations-meet-1990s silhouette. The designers also drew from the aesthetics of the Orient and mixed it with sporty accents.
The Spring 2018 collection features garments and accessories which may be mixed and matched in a multitude of ways, with statement pieces added to any look – such as fanny packs (so of the moment), dangle earrings or baseball caps. In the upcoming season Reserved customers will be wearing jackets with cut-outs, black suits, pants with side bands, sheer coats, denim skirts, tweed Chanel-inspired jackets, kimono-style tunics and floral-pattern dresses. The new collection plays with textures – hence the 3-D appliques on bomber jackets, sculpted structural ruffles and pleats in many elements of the women’s pieces. Another key feature of the new Reserved collection is vivid colour scheme – the designers ventured to add intense indigo, emerald green and citrus yellow to the colour palette (built on the shades of black, white, navy blue and beige). They did not overlook the lilac – a strong colour of the season, fitting perfectly with the cool pastel trend.
The Reserved men’s collection is dominated by casual, wearable pieces, as well as elegant garments, such as suits and shirts – staples in every man’s closet. This season, Reserved offers men such items as black jackets, trench coats and cotton T-shirts. Denim is also strong in the collection. In line with the current trends, the brand designers promote the denim “total look”, Instead of washed-out blue jeans – Spring 2018 will be all about intense navy blue. The men’s line in the coming season will also feature many colourful accents. The brand customers will soon be able to buy yellow sweatshirts and blue backpacks, to name the few. The Reserved men’s collection will also please the fans of grunge and retro vibes. Some silhouettes inspirations are derived from Beatnik style.
Model Mckenna Hellam – now on the Hot List of models.com and recently gracing the catwalks of Chanel, Hermès, Valentino or Céline – fronts the campaign for the Reserved lookbook. Adrian Sahores – equally hot name on models.com – was cast as the face of Reserved men’s collection. The photos were taken by Mateusz Stankiewicz.
