Anja Rubik x MOHITO – a collection that was widely commented for the last few months – finally saw its long-awaited release. Selected representatives from the world of fashion, show business and media had the unique opportunity to see live all the projects created specifically for MOHITO by world class topmodel. The culmination of the spectacular fashion show was an exclusive after party with the special guest performance: Roisin Murphy.
Rubik herself describes the collection in the following way:
Thoughtfully designed and curated, the ready-to-wear and accessories are pieces I feel that every woman should have in her wardrobe; both refined staples and chic statement pieces.
Following Rubik’s main idea, product line highlights basics – like Mohito-exclusive AR t-shirts, or soft oversize sweaters. Some designs have typical Rubik-NYC rustic details which highlight big city style as well as leather backpack and silver purse.
All of the pieces are intended to be mixed, layered and paired together, creating an effortless classic vibe with a cool modern twist. Each piece reflects my personal style and my key go-to favorites with influence from the top trends of the season.
Those who are not afraid of fashion experiments can pick the bolder personal image designs. Those may be spotted in the line promoting photoshoot: superlong shimmering maxi dress on straps, arm-cut shirt, suede-fringed trousers, or silver bomber jacket.
From simple sleek and oversized minimalist shapes to stand out animal prints and fringe, the collective vibe speaks to a cool femininity and a tough sexiness.
The color range bases on classic gray and black-and-white set complemented with single accents of khaki, beige and silver. All of the items are made with the best quality fabrics and materials, including soft leather, natural wool and silk.
My aim was to create a full set of chic pieces and accessories that are versatile, quintessential and a mix of my established favorites that women can wear effortlessly this season and beyond.
Just after the fashion show started an exclusive after party, where the guests met a real surprise. From London to Warsaw flew Roisin Murphy itself, the icon of alternative music, known as one of the best singers in the dance world. The musical setting for the rest of the party was prepared by Krystof Strozyna – designer, who specifically for that night successfully played the role of a DJ.
