LPP hailed the best WIG20 index company in the BYKI i NIEDŹWIEDZIE [BULLS and BEARS] competition

For the 28th time, the Warsaw Stock Exchange and investors’ editorial team – Parkiet – has awarded the most important capital market awards “Bulls and Bears” to the best companies of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, institutions, market personalities, managers, and analysts. In recognition of very good achievements on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, including one of the highest share increases and high market capitalisation in 2021, the Company of the Year of the WIG20 Index title was awarded to LPP – a Polish clothing manufacturer.

Byki i Niedźwiedzie [Bulls and Bears] is a competition that has been organised for 28 years now; it recognises the achievements of listed companies in terms of financial results, quoted share prices, rate of return or value of assets. The management team of these entities is also evaluated, as well as the most outstanding personalities of the financial market, investment funds or brokerage houses.

Awards were granted in 12 competition categories: Employee Capital Plans of the Year, Newconnect Company of the Year, Economist of the Year, Brokerage House of the Year, President of the Year, Financial Market Personality, Analyst of the Year, Debut of the Year, Investment Fund Management Company of the Year, and finally Best Company of the Year with sWIG 80, WIG 40 and WIG 20 indices.

In the last category, LPP was recognised as the Best Company of the Year with WIG 20 index, in recognition of the company’s efficient management and its strong financial standing achieved despite the market turbulence caused by the pandemic. The jury also appreciated LPP’s share price growth of over 110% in 2021 and its high market capitalization, which placed the company among the most valuable companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

The highest laurel for WIG20 companies in the Byki i Niedźwiedzie [Bulls and Bears] competition is the second award for LPP granted in recognition of the company’s capital performance in 2021. A week earlier, LPP was awarded the title of Listed Company of the Year in the annual ranking by the editors of Puls Biznesu.
