LPP’s Integrated Report in the competition for the title of the best social report

LPP’s Integrated Report in the competition for the title of the best social report

The voting in the competition for the best social reports, organised by the Responsible Business Forum, is currently underway. It is the fourth time that LPP has taken part in the competition for the distinction of internet users for the latest edition of the integrated report entitled “Towards sustainable fashion” which is a summary of the social and environmental objectives achieved in 2019. Votes for selected publications can be cast until 14 September.

For many years, monitoring the impact of the company’s operations on the environment, control of the supply chain and social projects in the field of counteracting social exclusion and in the area of health care have been highly prioritised in the development strategy of LPP. The financially stable 2019 enabled the company to achieve the goals it had set itself and to start working on towards the next steps aimed at sustainable development, which are included in the new strategy: “For People For Our Planet”.

The company’s integrated report submitted for this year’s edition of the competition is, above all, a comprehensive summary of the projects facilitating the creation of sustainable fashion. Reduction of plastic consumption by 2019 by almost 250 tonnes, gradual increase in the presence of Eco Aware products in the collections of LPP brands or the use of recycled materials or materials manufactures as part of a closed circuit production are just some of the actions confirming the commitment to implementing solutions that make the company’s operations more and more friendly to people and the environment year by year. The year 2019 – covered by the report submitted in the competition – was the company’s base year for reducing greenhouse gas emissions; this means that for the first time the company calculated its environmental footprint from the stage of raw material acquisition to the disposal of clothes. Last year also saw a continuation of work undertaken by the Polish company for many years to improve safety and production conditions in suppliers’ factories.

The outcomes of those actions, as well as many more LPP projects implemented in the spirit of sustainable development may be found in the report available at /wp-content/uploads/2018/02/LPP-Integrated-Report-2019-Online-EN.pdf.

56 publications have been submitted for this year’s edition of the Social Reports competition organised by the Responsible Business Forum and Deloitte. Votes for the selected three publications may be cast until 14 September via the form available at https://raportyspoleczne.pl/zaglosuj-na-raport/.
