New Reserved collection – Age of Aquarius. New beginning, new hope

The turn of December and January always brings hope, new resolutions, but also curiosity about the future, not devoid of dreams or beautiful visions. Subtle and finesse, yet also firmly rooted in reality with its practical aspect, the new women’s collection by Reserved is the best example of this.

The starting point for creating the Age of Aquarius collection was the legend of the fisherman and the mermaid and the clash of two worlds: pragmatic, practical and ethereal, non-literal. It is a story full of contrasts and opposites attracting each other. According to the fairy tale, the mermaid, though unreal, promises to lead the fisherman along safe sea routes and protect him from danger. The fisherman, despite presenting a down-to-earth attitude, lets himself be carried away by this promise. The latest photoshoot stars Małgosia Bela, who has already worked with Reserved on several occasions. Seen through the camera lens of Magda Wunsche and Agnieszka Samsel, she presents the subtle, non-obvious collection of the brand.

The colour palette refers to cold winter seascapes, with the frosty blue of water and sky, the chalky hue of sand or the off-white of sea foam. The structures of the materials chosen, in turn, reflect the characteristics of the underwater world, corals, rocks, and pearls. This subdued aesthetics gave rise to clothes that are comfortable and functional, but also full of surprising accents and modern solutions.

Among those – delicate, yet practical outerwear: a light blue fisherman’s jacket-inspired coat, a vanilla hooded windbreaker jacket or a shacket. These are complemented with trousers, including dungarees reminiscent of fishing trousers, with characteristic buckles and a front pocket. These elements are juxtaposed with extremely delicate, openwork or even transparent romantic dresses with a creased waist, a skirt with a wide frill, a blouse with an overscaled, decorative collar and a fitted turtleneck, with its texture reminiscent of sea foam. Soft sweaters and knit trousers complete the whole.

Accessories take us on a journey to the depths of the sea. Hand-braided pearl handbag with coral-shaped finishings, pearl hair clips and glasses chain, silk scarf with original pattern inspired by underwater world manifest the mermaid’s environment. They are complemented by practical items such as tall wellies, trapper boots and a sailor sack-inspired bag in off-white.

The collection will be available in selected stores and online at https://www.reserved.com/pl/pl/ from 22.01.2021
