Reserved Denim. Classic staples

24.02.2021

A must-have in every wardrobe, it adapts to our style like a chameleon, solving every clothing dilemma for good. Denim will never get out of fashion. Take a look at the latest edition of Reserved Denim collection, captured by a Polish photographer – Bart Pogoda.

Reserved Denim includes six different cuts for women and as many as seven for men. The women’s collection includes classic models, such as universal straight jeans with straight legs, casual boyfriend or mom jeans with a high waist and tapered leg. There is also a balloon cut, looser at the hips and narrower at the bottom, as well as two options of slim high rise and mid rise models, i.e. high-waisted and low-waisted skinny jeans. The men’s collection is dominated by looser silhouettes: comfort, with a straight cut and specially woven stretch fabric; relaxed – extra wide, slightly tapered or more fitted, and the 1980s-inspired carrot with slightly shortened, tapered leg. The absolute king of comfort is definitely the jogger option, i.e. loose jeans with elasticated waistband and characteristic ribbing at the ankle. For fans of classic styles, the cuts include: regular – the most popular, with regular waist and straight legs; slim – closer to the figure, with narrower legs; and skinny – tight jeans, just like in the women’s collection.

The new Reserved Denim collection was photographed by Bart Pogoda. Denim was captured in dynamic analogue frames, with natural sunlight emphasising the palette of denim blues and various degrees of wash. In addition to shades of blue and navy, there are tones of lilac, white and black in the women’s collection, and beige, grey, olive and red orange in the men’s collection. The wide selection of trousers is accompanied by trucker jackets and loose shirts. The women’s collection also includes dresses (shirt-dresses and a fitted waist mini-dress with buff sleeves and raw edges), skirts: mini and classic midi pencil skirts with buttons or high front slits, short tops with buff sleeves and shoulder straps, bralettes in the denim version, a biker jacket with diagonal topstitching, and the ever-fashionable Bermuda trousers.

Reserved Denim also includes a kids collection. Looser, comfortable cuts dominate here and will fit into the active lifestyle of the youngest lot. Denim sets in washed blue, black and grey, cargo inspired trousers with side pockets or charming dungarees allow for freedom, also in expressing oneself. The details play an important role: contrasting or multiple stitching, distressed and ripped models, marbled dyed textures. Clothes for boys and girls are practical, with lots of pockets, and their additional advantage is great comfort.

The collection was designed in line with the assumptions of #EcoAware and was mostly created from organic cotton with GOTS or OCS certificates. Organic cotton has a much lower environmental impact than conventional cotton. It is grown in a way that helps preserve soil fertility and protect biodiversity. No genetically modified seeds are used and the crop is harvested according to its natural cycle, without growth stimulation or artificial acceleration.

Not only does the brand insist on using more environmentally friendly materials in its collections, but it has also made a commitment that by 2023 one hundred percent of the factories where it sews its jeans will be covered by the Eco Aware Production programme. These will be only those factories that have implemented qualitative and ecological standards for reducing water and energy consumption in the process of fabric processing and jeans production.
