The LPP Foundation supports
We are able to reach a large group of people in need and organisations in the Pomeranian region – where the LPP headquarters and distribution centre are located. We have also been actively operating in the Małopolska region, primarily in Kraków where the head offices of House and Mohito are situated. In each of these places we are helping children and youth in a difficult life situation and the ill. We are also supporting organisations taking care of persons at risk of social exclusion and medical care facilities. In 2019 alone, the Foundation supported over 140 NGOs by making in-kind and cash donations of over PLN 2.8 m to those in need.
In addition, numerous voluntary initiatives were carried out by LPP employees.

The money collected during the 3 months of the campaign in 2019 was donated to help the charges of the Gdańsk Korczak Foundation and patients of the Małopolska Rehabilitation Centre in Radziszów.
‘KRĘĆ KILOMETRY’ [REGISTER KILOMETRES]
In June 2019 we co-financed the Great Bicycle Ride in Gdańsk. Along with our employees, the charges of the Gdańsk Foundation for Social Innovation and the Gdańsk Family Foundation participated in it. Children and youth were riding bicycles bought during the LPP Team for Kids action in 2017.

OUR PROJECTS
ECO AWARE
ECO AWARE is a textile collection action commenced in the biggest Reserved stores in Poland, with House and Mohito brand stores joining in 2019. Every visitor to our stores can return unnecessary clothes and place them in special containers located at the checkouts. The label does not matter, but it is important that the clothes are in good condition and can be reused. By the end of 2019, we collected over 3 tons of clothes which the LPP Foundation donates to St. Brother Albert’s Aid Society which runs night-shelter facilities for homeless people all over Poland. The clothes will be given to the homeless and those in a difficult life situation.
Aware of the needs of people and the environment, we help to prolong the life of textiles and improve the living conditions of people in need.

1st EDITION OF MINI-GRANTS
In 2019, we launched the first mini-migrant programme. Employees were able to propose their projects in the following areas: education, safety, culture, health, ecology, social and sports activities, diversity and impact on the working environment in LPP. The four best-assessed projects were awarded funding, thanks to which activities for the Single Mothers’ Home in Matemblewo and a school in Bangladesh were implemented. Training sessions for the LPP TEAM in Kraków were held, and a garden for employees was created on the terrace of the LPP headquarters in Gdańsk.

DO NASADZENIA - FOR PLANTING
We became an official partner of the event ‘DO NASADZENIA’ organized by TORUS company. Its aim was to rebuild the forest in Lipusz, which was destroyed by the storm in 2017. On 19 and 26 October 2019, together with about 1500 employees of almost 40 companies, we reconstructed the forest covering 11 hectares. 200 LPP employees took part in the action.

CHILDREN’S DAY AND ST. NICHOLAS DAY
It has become a tradition that our employees play fairy tale characters and give presents to the young patients of the University Children’s Hospital in Kraków. This year, children we visited for the first time at the Polish Association for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities in Gdańsk also responded with great joy.

SOCIALLY INVOLVED
We have designed and implemented a rearrangement of the restaurant which operates on the principles of a social company and is a place where the charges of children’s homes run by the Foundation for Social Innovation can start their first job, try to become independent and gain invaluable experience, which will pay off in the future.

WOLONTWARIACI LPP - MAD ABOUT VOLUNTEERING
After the action of mounting colourful pictures on the ceiling of the Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Ward for Children at Copernicus Hospital in Gdańsk, in 2019 we returned to that place to decorate the corridor. After two days of intensive work, the images of Gdańsk tenement houses appeared on the walls – the local aspect has always been very important to us.

HELPING ANIMALS
We care for the fate of helpless animals. For years, we have been handing over our materials for insulating kennels and our employees are eager to engage in helping animals. Some of our people are active in foundations taking care of dogs, cats and wild animals.
Each year, our volunteers, together with Pomeranian Temporary Cat Home, renovate cat houses and prepare them for for the new season for the cats living on the grounds of Crist Shipyard and Nauta Shipyard.
