LPP is #MadeInPoland – the company will double the production of clothing in Poland

  • On 19-20 June representatives of the world media took part in a study trip to the headquarters of LPP in Gdańsk.
  • The event inaugurated a series of LPP meeting – Made in Poland, which aims at clarifying how much influence the company from Gdańsk has on the Polish economy.
  • Journalists and influencers had the opportunity to visit the LPP Distribution Centre in Pruszcz Gdański and the product office of the Reserved, Cropp and Sinsay brands.
  • The main point of the meeting was the panel discussion on clothing production in Poland with the participation of an independent expert and a Polish clothing manufacturer.
  • In the course of the event the President of the LPP – Marek Piechocki gave a presentation. He announced that by the end of 2018, the company will double the production of their collections in Poland.

This year on 19 and 20 June the headquarters of LPP in Gdańsk hosted media opinion leaders who gathered to discuss development prospects of the Polish clothing market together with the presidents and employees of LPP as well as independent experts After visiting the LPP Distribution Centre in Pruszcz Gdański, guests listened to lectures by the President of LPP – Marek Piechocki, who during his speech declared that by the end of 2018 the company will double the clothing production of their brands in Polish factories.

Poland is playing an increasingly important role in the production of our collection.  For the last two years Mohito, our dynamically developing women’s brand has sewn over 4 million pieces of clothes in Poland. This is 15 percent of total production of Mohito. In 2017, our work order for Polish factories will amount to 5 million pieces of clothing. To the end of 2018, we want to double the number. The production of Reserved in our country will also double, says Marek Piechocki, President of LPP.

Right now in Poland 50 clothing factories are working for the needs of LPP. The information on the tag “Made in Poland is seen more often on clothes produced by the company. Over the past 12 months changes have been made to speed up the production process, logistics and design. This is linked to the global trend and demand of customers for “fast fashion” or rather “faster fashion”, meaning rapid introduction of a large number of collections and designs in line with the latest fashion trends.

Also speaking at the debate were: Adam Ubertowski – President of Soulinvesta, a company conducting business consultations, who emphasized the condition, limitations and development opportunities of that industry in Poland and Monika Królik – owner of four factories of AKKO, a production, commercial and service company sewing clothing for such brands as Mohito and Reserved. After the presentation of the experts, a Q & A session took place, during which President Piechocki answered questions of the participants regarding the company’s plans in this area.

Afterwards, the guests had the opportunity to visit the product office at the company’s headquarters in Gdańsk at Łąkowa, to see from behind the scenes how the latest collections of the LPP brands are created and also talk with company employees. Journalists and influencers also obtained a rare opportunity to become familiar with the first models of the special collection for this year’s upcoming debut of the Reserved brand on Oxford Street in London, which will be also be sent to flagship salons.
