LPP is creating a new retail reality in Poland

For the fifth time the Retailers’ Awards were granted to those creating a new retail reality in Poland. Among the winners of the competition was Marek Piechocki, founder of LPP, recognized as ‘Personality of the Year’ as well as the Reserved brand, awarded for the new concept of ‘open to public’ stores.

The Retailers’ Awards were distributed for the fifth time in Warsaw. Statuettes went to the best retail chains and the personalities that influence the shape of the retail reality in Poland.

The prizes awarded by an independent jury were granted in 11 categories, including the best retail company, the best new store concept, manager of the year, or the personality of the year in the industry. In this year’s edition, the jury of the competition decided to grant the honourary award of “Personality of the Year” to Marek Piechocki, founder of LPP. This award is granted to people whose work has a direct impact on the development of the market, and their professional achievements set new horizons in business.

Giving me such an award was a huge surprise. I am one of many hundreds of people who create the retail industry in our country with equally great commitment. It’s very constructive and motivating that the jury decided to honour me with this beautiful award. I always say that this passion allows not only myself but also the people with whom I work to successfully develop our industry. I believe that it will never fade and will continue to drive me to act and look for new challenges – says Marek Piechocki, president of LPP.

In the competition, the retail industry also evaluated new store concepts. Carrefour, CCC, IKEA, Orsay, Reserved and Sephora were nominated in this category. According to the jury, the new concept of ‘open to public’ stores by Reserved was the best, which was introduced in stores in London, Germany and Warsaw. Thanks to the innovative design, everything is at the customer’s eye level and within their reach. “Open to public” uses modern technologies that allow collections to be exposed, including the smart DALI LED system enabling, for example, the store lighting to be adjusted to the time of day, remote control of its power or colour according to the prevailing conditions. The brand’s showrooms are also equipped with an advanced HVAC ventilation and air conditioning system, the latest LED screens consuming up to 20% less energy with better image quality, or special comfort and relaxation zones for those who accompany the brand’s customers during shopping.

Such solutions, according to experts, have a significant impact on the image of the showrooms, refreshing them, and at the same time changing the reality of the retail in Poland and setting new standards for the clients of the industry.
