Reserved debuts in Belarus

Reserved debuts in Belarus

In the first half of 2017, LPP, the owner of six clothing brands – Reserved, Tallinder, House, Cropp, Mohito and Sinsay – will debut in Belarus. The Reserved store will be opened in the capital city, in a modern shopping centre – Minsk Mall. LPP has chosen a local partner which will operate in Belarus based on a franchise model. The culmination is the lease agreement concerning the first Reserved store in this country.

For several years, we have been examining the possibility of entering the Belarusian market, which is still free from our global competitors. In our opinion, it is a very promising and growing market, with the first modern shopping centre to be opened in Minsk. In our opinion, this is a good time for a debut – we want to be there first  – says Sławomir Łoboda, Vice President of LPP responsible for the investment and development of the chain.

For LPP presence in Belarus is a natural decision – the company has been a leader in clothing sales in Poland and an important player in our part of Europe. LPP clothing brands are popular in Russia, Ukraine and the Baltic states, now it’s time for another eastern neighbour. Belarus is an example of a country where our brands are highly recognisable and enjoy popularity despite the fact that so far we have not had stores there. We have been watching Belarusians who shop in our stores in northeastern Poland for years, now it’s time to meet their expectations – adds Sławomir Łoboda. At the same time, due to the specific political and economic conditions, as in the case of the Middle East, LPP has decided to cooperate with a local partner – Rapa, which represents in Belarus, among others, sOliver (Germany), Carpisa (Italy), Yamamay (Italy). Minsk Mall is managed by Colliers International.

The Reserved flagship store will open in the first half of 2017 – the exact date depends on the progress of construction and finishing works. The floor area of the store will be approx. 2 thousand sqm. and it will offer the full range of products of the brand, i.e. collections addressed to women, men and children. The company plans to open three Reserved stores in the next two years in the capital of Belarus.
For 15 years, LPP has been successful beyond our eastern border. Currently, 418 of the more than 1,640 LPP stores are located in Russia, Ukraine and the Baltic states.
